Heart of Canberra is a Cardiology practice based in Deakin, Canberra that has recently acquired ownership of Hayes Cardiology. Our team comprises of a Cardiologist, Cardiac technician, Cardiac sonographer and Receptionist. We all work as a team to provide the best care for our patients.
Dr Kashif Kalam is the Cardiologist who treats and diagnosis all aspects of cardiac problems. Having recently acquired the ownership of Hayes Cardiology, Dr Kashif Kalam provides care for Dr Deborah Hayes patients.
Dr Kashif Kalam also Works as a staff specialist in The Canberra Hospital, National Capital private Hospital and Calvary John James Hospital. Our team can provide all aspects cardiac investigations and facilitate non-invasive and invasive therapeutics.
With special interest and post specialization training in multi-Modality cardiac imaging, Dr Kashif Kalam can help diagnose challenging cardiac diseases. Dr Kashif Kalam also runs the heart failure and pulmonary hypertension services at the Canberra and has special interest in these conditions.
We can facilitate interventional procedures like coronary angiogram, coronary stents, electrophysiological studies and pace-maker insertion both at The Canberra public and above stated private hospitals
Our History
Dr Kashif Kalam is a Canberra trained cardiologist with Extensive post specialist training in multi-Modality cardiac imaging both nationally and internationally.
Having worked mostly in North Canberra and Hayes Cardiology, we have recently acquired ownership of Hayes Cardiology and permanently based our office at Napier close, Deakin.
